Sean French-Byrne is a Massachusetts-based playwright and author writing stories about queer love and death. They are fascinated with moments of transformation and transition, and states of being that walk the line between one thing and the next - dwelling between death and life, between binary gender, between the devil and the deep blue sea. Their work has been featured in vulture culture and DEAD HORSE magazine.

They love to write about worlds in which strict systems of power and convention exist, and then find the liminal spaces in those worlds - what do relationships become, out of sight of land?

Sean works in collaboration with Theater Between Addresses, a constellation of theater artists producing new work for the end of the world, and Electric Lite Collective, a Massachusetts-based collective of theater makers telling stories of the deep blue sea, the end of the world, and everything in between.
